| New Hope for the Wretched T-Shirt The Plasmatics NEW HOPE FOR THE WRETCHED T features the awesome photo from the cover of the Plasmatics first full album by the same name. Featuring Wendy and band with white Cadillac submerged in a suburban swimming pool with smashed TV and flaming amplifiers in the background. | Banned at the Hammersmith T-Shirt With the release of their first album, andn with the Plasmatics making news as the most explosive and controversial band in the United States they were booked at London's Hammersmith Odeon for there debut UK show. The show at which Wendy and the band wee scheduled to blow-up an automibile onstage, and which was sold-out way in advance, was banned by the Greater London council, who labeled Wendy an "anarchist". The front of the t-shirt is the poster from that show. The back of the t-shirt is a quote from Wendy to "undemine the status quo". Pictured are Wendy with mohawk and band on horseback fists in the air (the "four horsemen of the Apocolypse" various reviewers wrote) with the Superstition Mountains in Arizona in the background. On the back of the shirt is the phrase from the Plasmatics song of the same name with particular reference to the establishment 'facists' who were attempting to suppress Wendy and the band at the time.
